Hub of Myths
"Hub of Myths" is a powerful and evocative name that connects the local significance of "The Hub" with the universal appeal of mythology. It positions the theatrical Organization as a dynamic center for storytelling, where ancient myths are brought to life and shared with the community.
NEW PLAY INITIATIVE:
Ramleela: A Modern Reimagining
Experience the epic tale of Ramayana in a fresh and contemporary light. This innovative theatrical production explores timeless themes of love, duty, and courage through a modern lens, drawing parallels to contemporary issues and challenges.
About Us
Hub of Myths is more than just a theatre company; it's a testament to the enduring power of storytelling and the vibrant cultural heritage of various mythologies. Born from the passion and dedication of residents in Weston, Massachusetts, we are a collective of dreamers, artists, and storytellers who believe in the transformative power of theatre. We bring ancient stories to life through innovative theatrical productions, captivating audiences and fostering a deeper appreciation for the rich tapestry of different cultures.
Our journey began with a simple yet profound desire: to share the magic of mythology with our community. We envisioned a platform where these timeless tales could come alive, sparking imaginations and connecting people through shared experiences.
Our Mission
At Hub of Myths, our mission is threefold:
Ignite Curiosity and Wonder: We believe that ancient stories have the power to ignite curiosity and wonder, especially in young minds. By presenting these stories in engaging theatrical productions, we aim to introduce children and adults to the beauty and wisdom of mythology, fostering a lifelong love of learning and discovery.
Share the Magic of Mythology: These tales are not mere relics of the past; they are living narratives that continue to inspire, educate, and entertain. They speak of universal themes – love, loss, courage, duty, and the eternal struggle between good and evil – that resonate with people across cultures and generations. We strive to bring these themes to life on stage, making them accessible and relevant to contemporary audiences.
Build Bridges of Understanding: Hub of Myths is also a platform for cultural exchange and understanding. By exploring myths from different cultures, we hope to build bridges of empathy and appreciation, fostering a greater understanding of the world around us. We believe that storytelling can connect us all, reminding us of our shared humanity.
Our Story
Hub of Myths was born from a shared love for timeless tales. A group of Weston residents, passionate about theatre and mythology, recognized the power of these ancient stories to connect communities and ignite imaginations. We envisioned a company that could bring these myths to life, creating theatrical experiences that would be both entertaining and enriching.
From our very first meeting, the energy and enthusiasm were palpable. We were united by a common goal: to create a theatre company that would not only produce high-quality productions but also serve as a valuable resource for the community. We wanted to create a space where people of all ages could come together to experience the magic of theatre and the power of storytelling.
And so, Hub of Myths was born. We are a company built on passion, creativity, and a deep respect for the power of myth. We are excited to continue this journey, bringing timeless tales to life and sharing the magic of theatre with our community.
